EarthRoots is led by multi-instrumentalists Jenny and Mark Robertson-Tessi, partners in both life and music. With over three decades of performing together across a wide range of genres and venues, their musical path has always been rooted in connection, creativity, and heart.
Through the years, their passion for music naturally expanded into a deep commitment to wellness and healing. EarthRoots is the next step in their journey: a fusion of musical artistry and the restorative power of sound.
Blending their extensive experience as performers with their studies in sound healing, Jenny and Mark create immersive sonic experiences designed to nurture the body, mind, and spirit. Their soundbaths, concerts, and collaborative offerings are crafted with intention, weaving together traditional and contemporary instruments into landscapes of relaxation, renewal, and transformation.
At EarthRoots, music becomes more than performance: it becomes a pathway to healing, presence, and connection with the earth and with each other.
Jenny holds a Master of Music degree and has performed internationally as a harpist with numerous ensembles. Her music training is complemented by certifications in integrative sound healing from the Sound Healing Academy in England. As a 500-hour Yoga Alliance certified instructor and certified herbalist, Jenny brings together many aspects of mind-body wellness practices.
Mark is an award-winning mandolin and guitar player who has toured and performed with a variety of groups across the country. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree, as well as a PhD that he applies in oncology, where he focuses on developing patient-centered care approaches. With a background in acoustics and instrument craftsmanship, Mark also designs and builds instruments for EarthRoots.
